I saw a similar Save File on Nexus, but it didn't appear to be at the final mission, so hopefully this saves you some time. After doing a ton of experimenting with rolling for perfect mods and learning a lot I decided to share some of the knowledge I have gained with the community. From my searching there doesn't appear to be much detailed information on the modifications in Horizon Zero Dawn. All my research is on Version 1.31 NG+ Very Hard.
Weapon modification maximum Horizon Zero Dawn. For those ppl that do have all perfect mods, it opens a slot for a perfect handling mod on a max dmg weapon.
Assuming you're not lamenting the lack of a PC or PS3 port of Horizon Zero Dawn, it's safe to assume you've managed to dig your heels into Guerrilla Games' giant open-world extravaganza.
If you're planning on taking down the biggest and baddest robo-dinos in the new open-world RPG, however, you're going to need the best neo-Neolithic arms and armament available. Luckily, we've got you covered with the best bows available in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Horizon Zero Dawn best bows: How to find the best weapons in the game
If you're not interested in comparing stats on a million different weapons Diablo-style, you're in luck. According to Polygon, the best version of every weapon (indicated as ones having the 'shadow' descriptor) are available from mid- to late-game merchants in and around Meridian and can be purchased for a number of metal shards and a rare drop from one of the machines you'll be hunting.
You can also pick up a lodge version of the war bow for beating all 15 hunting ground trials with a perfect score, according to Polygon, but it'll only be marginally better than the shadow war bow, which can be purchased.
Regardless, the increased power and modification slots on the shadow weapons make them very important upgrades, and Polygon recommends picking up several versions of the same weapon and slotting in different modifications to get the damage or effects you'll need to take out some of the more powerful late-game enemies.
Which are the best bows in Horizon Zero Dawn?
According toUSgamer, the best standard bow you can acquire is the shadow hunter bow, which will cost you 650 metal shards and an item called a watcher heart. It fires hunter, hardpoint and fire arrows, so it's useful in a variety of situations.
If you're looking to do more damage, you'll want to pick up the shadow sharpshot instead. USgamer said it costs 800 metal shards and a sawtooth heart to buy, and it forces you to take a pretty heavy dip in rate of fire for increased damage output. It fires hardpoint, tearblast and harvest arrows, and even allows Aloy to fire three arrows at once.
Finally, there's the shadow war bow. Much like the shadow sharpshot, it costs 800 shards, in addition to a trampler heart, per USgamer. It has low damage, but it's useful against enemies in a vulnerable state because of its ability to fire shock, freeze and corruption arrows.
Chances are you'll need all three bows to get to the end of Horizon Zero Dawn. You'd better get started collecting those hearts and shards as soon as possible!

Spear is the first weapon that you will learn to use in Horizon Zero Dawn. It is the default melee weapon that Aloy has at the very beginning to face her enemy. The default or basic spear, however, cannot deal high damage to enemies. Hence, Aloy has to hit enemies multiple times to kill them. And on top of that, you cannot purchase any new powerful spear. The only possible way to increase spear’s damage is through upgrades. Hence, gamers are curious about how to upgrade spear in Horizon Zero Dawn (PC) to complete quests and missions more quickly. Here’s the guide for just that.
How to Unlock Spear Upgrades in Horizon Zero Dawn
There are multiple ways to increase the spear’s damage. We will go through all of them individually.
Complete In Her Mother’s Footsteps side quest
Horizon Zero Dawn Weapon Modifications
In the early stages of the game, players can complete In Her Mother’s Footsteps side quest to permanently boost the base damage of the spear. It is a quest given by Thok, a wounded hunter. Aloy has to save Thok’s daughter and bring her back to him. Thok in return rewards her by increasing the spear’s base damage.
Unlock melee skills
Head to the skills menu and complete melee related skills. There aren’t many skills available, but there are a few that will give a little spike to the spear’s damage. Some of these skills are:
Knock Down
This skill increases heavy spear attack damage to knock down machines quickly.
Precision +
The ability to knock off armor and takedown with light spear attack increases significantly.
Horizon Zero Dawn Weapon Modifications
Precision
Light spear attack damage increases to knock off armor and take down enemies easily.
Fighting Back
Heavy spear attack damage greatly increases when Aloy’s health is low.

Unlock spear modification in The Frozen Wilds
In the Frozen Wilds DLC expansion of the Horizon Zero Dawn, you can take upgrading spears into your hands. All you need to do is complete A Secret Shared side quest. The recommended player level for the side quest is 30. Hence, make sure that you are around that level before you go for the side quest.
To enter the side quest, you will have to talk to Kamut. Kamut will be at the Song’s Edge in The Frozen Wilds DLC. Kamut will explain Aloy the mission. The core of the quest is to find the Drag Hunter Dungeon in the North and get the drone.
Once you have the drone, head back quickly to Kamut to end the quest. Kamut will reward Aloy with a box that will contain the first spear modification. Completing the quest will also unlock other modification slots for upgrading the spear.
That’s how you can upgrade spear in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC expansion. Once you have completed A Secret Shared quest, you might want to save your progress in Horizon Zero Dawn so that your data isn’t lost.
